Rolling Meadows Cheerleaders continue to DAZZLE
Every one of our RMYF cheerleaders are all STARS!!! Even though football is finished, cheer's most exciting events are yet to come so everyone please come out and support our girls for the rest of their season. The Tiny Tots WOWED everyone at both the UYC Darling Diva Day and Spirit Spectacular Exhibitions. The United 9 squad did a SUPER GREAT job at Darling Diva Day and at the Spirit Spectacular Competition on November 6th. (Their scores at Spirit Spectacular earned the team a bid to attend the Illinois Recreational Cheerleading Association's (IRCA) State Championship). The United 10 squad has also done WONDERFULLY at all their events this season. They placed first at the Don't Stop Believin' Competition on October 23rd which earned them a bid to the IRCA State Championships as well. The United 14 squad has done OUTSTANDING this year ... scoring high and placing second at both the Midnight Madness Competition and at Spirit Spectacular and placing third at the UYC Midwest Regional Competition against some very tough competition. The United 12 squad has had a SPECTACULAR season so far this year! The team placed first at the Midnight Madness Competition and at Spirit Spectacular which qualified them to attend the IRCA State Championships. The team also placed first at the UYC Midwest Regionals which earned them the right to represent Rolling Meadows at the United Youth Cheerleading National Championships in Lakeland, Florida!! Since these events are both on the same weekend, the U12 girls will be traveling to Florida to compete at Nationals - a dream many of them have had for years! The United 14 team competes again on Sunday, November 13th at the Cheer for the Kids Competition in Bartlett, Illinois and our United 10 and United 12 teams both compete in Operation Cheer at Harper College in Palatine on November 19th. Then everyone DON'T FORGET to support our cheer squads as they represent our RMYF family at the IRCA State Championships on December 3rd and at the United Youth Cheerleading Nationals on December 3rd as well!!! The State Championships will be held at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates and video of the UYC National Championships can be streamed online for a small fee during the event. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OUR CHEERLEADERS!! WE LOVE YOU!! 2011 Cheer Season
The start of a new season is underway! We want to welcome our new cheer families, and we are happy to see all the returning cheerleaders. We hope that everyone is SUPER EXCITED for the upcoming season!
2011 brings 105 cheerleaders to our sidelines to cheer on our Mighty Mustang Football players as well as exhibition or competition floor once again showing their spirit and superior skills. With a long tradition of PROUD, STRONG, and SUCCESSFUL cheerleaders RMYC will continue to represent themselves with pride and excellence!
October marks the beginning of the exhibitions and competition, which are big milestones for the girls. The first is Jr. Mustang Round-Up.
Rolling into November, we are met with our exhibition squads attending Darling Diva Day, and our elder squads competing at the Chicagoland Conference Competition. With the opportunity to attend the UYF National Championships in Florida, our squads look forward to place first.
Hopefully the cheerleaders' excitement, energy and spirit will be contagious as we all Cheer on our Football players and Cheerleaders.
GO MUSTANGS!!!
