Rolling Meadows United 12 Cheerleaders Place 2nd at Nationals!!

CONGRATULATIONS to our own United 12 Cheerleading Squad who placed an AMAZING SECOND PLACE at the recent United Youth Cheerleading National Championships held on December 3, 2011 in Lakeland, Florida!!  The team narrowly missed placing first by less than a point, scoring a SUPER 91.5 points out of 100 to earn them their second place trophy.  AWESOME JOB LADIES!!! Many of the girls on the squad have dreamed about attending this event for years so this was the year for their dreams to come true!  Cheerleaders and their parents traveled to Florida for the competition and had a BLAST at the event while also taking some time with their family and friends to swim at the hotel and to go to area attractions such as Clearwater Beach, Busch Gardens or Universal Studios in between their scheduled cheer commitments.  Each cheerleader and parent represented our RMYF family with nothing but 100% style and grace and should be nothing but PROUD of their entire season.

From the United 12 coaches, we want to GIVE A HUGE THANK YOU to all our families for their hard work, efforts and commitment throughout the season as well as to the RMYF Board and all the RMYF families for their love and support this year.  We couldn't have done it without each of you!!

WAY TO GO MUSTANG CHEER!!!

Rolling Meadows Cheerleaders SHONE BRIGHT in 2011!

Rolling Meadows Youth Cheerleading has become well known across Illinois for having SUPER cute, spirited and successful cheerleading squads.  Every one of our teams in 2011 led their fans and community with style and grace during the RMYF football games and then every squad took their exhibition or competition floors and SHONE like the STARS they all are!  The cheerleaders all had a very exciting season this year and cannot wait for early bird registration in January so they have next season to look forward to already. J

Our Tiny Tot squad WOWED everyone on the sidelines and at both the UYC Darling Diva Day and Spirit Spectacular Exhibitions.  The United 9 squad was always SUPER SPIRITED at games and gave SUPERB performances at Darling Diva Day and at the Spirit Spectacular Competition.  Their scores at Spirit Spectacular were in the top 25% of all 3rd grade exhibition teams which earned the team a bid to attend the Illinois Recreational Cheerleading Association's (IRCA) State Championship if they had chosen to attend. Our United 10 squad cheered LOUD and PROUD at all their games and did WONDERFULLY at every competition they went to this season, always placing in the top four teams. They placed first at the Don't Stop Believin' Competition which earned them a bid to the IRCA State Championships where they gave their best performance of the year!  The United 14 squad had an OUTSTANDING year both cheering on the sidelines and at their competitions as well.  At every event they scored high and placed in the top three against some very tough competition.  We know that every cheerleader that "graduates" to their high school squads will have fun and be a great asset to their new teams.  GOOD LUCK to our 8th Grade girls!

Our United 12 squad had a truly SPECTACULAR season! The team placed first at every local competition they attended which earned them to right to perform at the IRCA State Championships. The team also placed first at the UYC Midwest Regional Competition which earned them the right to represent Rolling Meadows at the United Youth Cheerleading National Championships in Lakeland, Florida!!   Since the State Championships and Nationals were on the same day, the United 12 girls traveled to Florida to compete at Nationals - a dream many of them have had for years!   Everyone please give a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the United 12 cheerleaders next time you see them because they placed SECOND at the UYC National Championships with a score of 91.5 out of 100 (less than a point out of first place)!!  What a SUPER JOB at Nationals and a BIG THANKS for doing such a great job in representing our RMYF family. J

XOXO to all our cheerleaders and families for their dedication, help and support throughout this past season – none of the squads would have had as much FUN or been as successful without your hard work and efforts!  From all the head coaches and from the Cheer Board members please know you have our deepest thanks and appreciation for everything that families did this year to make it so GREAT!!!    DON'T FORGET to mark your calendars for the ONLY Early Bird Registration for the 2012 season … Saturday, January 28th from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Rolling Meadows Community Center.  This will be the only date to get the discounted registration fee of $140.00.  After 1/2/12, the registration fee for the 2012 season will be $175.00.  Hopefully we will see everyone there!
